Looking back to December 2005...

My little sisters was murdered. Ripped from her family way to soon. Stolen from the baby girl that loves her so much.

A horrible man killed her in her own home, and left her 2 year old daughter to fend for herself until she was found. (almost 2 days later). They found her body Tuesday afternoon, she could've been dead since Monday morning.

The press came out to the house... I guess it turned out to be a good thing. We had no way to contact her friends, so at least now they will see her picture and be able to make the funeral. Mom needed to be able to get her story out.

He took a sister, mother, daughter, grandaughter, friend, away from us all. I can't explain how angry I am. I can't explain how much pain I feel over losing her. We are all at a great loss.

"The baby will get a Christmas, we will get a funeral." was what mom told the reporters. It is so hard.

Update: I still miss her like CRAZY! I get so angry sometimes, that she was taken from us! Time is supposed to heal all wounds. This wound will be an eternity...

Amnio FISH results

are back! Everything seems to be NORMAL!! He is a very LARGE healthy baby!!!

Best moment of the week: Graduating Nursing School!

Another scare...

OB just called and said our quad screening results were abnormal. The results showed a "positive" for downs syndrome. Let me first say I know this is just a screening test, and is not diagnostic. Now, that being said... We are doing amnio next week. The OB cited my age, medical conditions, and previous miscarriages as reasons (in addition to screening) that we should go ahead with the amnio. If this was our first baby, I would probably not do the amnio. However, if this baby has medical issues related to Downs, or will be in need of special care, we need to start to prepare ourselves, the other kids, and our immediate family. Please keep us in your prayers.
